Nicole plays many roles at IU Communications. As a member of the presidential communications team, she helps execute IU President Michael A. McRobbie’s overall communications strategy by providing research, planning, writing services, and content development for his website. She also manages web content for the following websites: Alliance of Distinguished and Titled Professors, Board of Aeons, Indiana University Bicentennial, IU’s First Lady, University Honors and Awards, IPFW Transition and serves as back-up to several other sites.
Within the university communications unit, Nicole publicizes research and news from IU Bloomington’s arts and humanities departments and schools, including the Jacobs School of Music, the School of Art and Design, the IU Cinema, and a variety of other programs.
Nicole has worked at IU Communications since 2004, when she took on the role of assistant director of marketing strategy. Before coming to Indiana University, she was a reporter and editor at the Kokomo Tribune, where she once chased a tornado to ensure she was the first at the scene to report on the aftermath. She earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in journalism from IU Bloomington.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys reading, cooking, home improvement projects, learning to code and traveling.
