Amanda serves as the assistant director of strategic communications for IU Bloomington. In this role, she works closely with the senior director of strategic communications and helps lead the team charged with establishing and executing communications strategies designed to engage audiences important to IU and the Bloomington campus.

Amanda has more than 15 years of experience in public relations, communications, and marketing, most recently as the assistant director of marketing and communications at the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington. Prior to joining the university, she spent 11 years at IU Health Bloomington Hospital, where she was responsible for media relations and various marketing projects and campaigns for IU Health Bloomington and IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians.

Amanda is a proud IU alum, holding an M.B.A. from the Kelley School of Business as well as a B.A. in journalism from IU.

When not geeking out about public relations stuff, Amanda loves spending time with her kids, Avery and Margot, and her husband, Keith, baking, doing crafts, and cheering on the Hoosiers.

I love trying to figure out the best strategies for communicating different messages to different people, and putting together a plan for how to make it happen.
