As an Information Architect Intern for IU Communications, Amanda contributes to project deliverables that lead to beautiful websites. Growing up in a rural area of Southern Indiana, she understands the importance of technology for connecting people. She is especially interested in how people find and consume information on the web.
Amanda is a graduate student working towards her Master in Information Science degree (M.I.S.) with an Information Architecture Specialization. She also has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in health promotion from IU.
Before delving into a technology field, Amanda assisted in gathering and analyzing data for psychology research. She has taught introductory web design classes to students with the Center of Excellence for Women in Technology. She also has worked with the School of Informatics and Computing as a social media intern.
Amanda enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her friends and family, goofing around with her cats, learning about new scientific and technological findings, taking pictures, and traveling to new and exciting places.
