As director of social media strategy, Kristofer oversees bigger social media projects and a team of specialists across two campuses. In addition, he executes IU’s first system-wide social media strategy, serves as lead on the annual IU Social Media Summit, and digests and interprets analytics.
A former newspaper journalist, Kristofer enjoys writing but also figuring out how to communicate things in 140 characters or less or a series of snaps. He was previously involved in leading the first live-tweeting of a surgery in the state of Indiana when he worked with IU Health. He’s both a Spartan (B.A.) and a Jaguar (M.A.) and lives in Indianapolis’s Fountain Square neighborhood with his wife, Caitlyn; dog, Bailey; cat, Jackson; and three chickens.
