Lee provides back-end and database development for the Informational and Emerging Technologies team. His programming career began in IU’s Office of Financial Management Services, where he transitioned from assisting people with university computer systems to building them. He eventually left IU to focus on helping small businesses in Bloomington with IT needs, which allowed him to work with a diverse user base while honing his skills in everything from desktop support to VOIP telephony to large-scale web application development.
With an extensive customer service background and a can-do attitude, Lee is happiest when he can use his programming and database knowledge to solve someone’s problems. If he can learn something new along the way, even better.
When not writing code, Lee can often be found in the woods with his loyal dog, Iggy, or making improvements to the house he shares with his beloved wife and two awesome children. He enjoys both cooking and working with his hands. Lee also plays guitar, writes for the local newspaper, and in general tries to live his life in accordance with Robert A. Heinlein’s quote about specialization being for insects.
