Molly is a proud IU alum who in 2014 returned to her Midwestern roots after several years in the desert Southwest.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Molly first ventured to Indiana to attend Butler University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies and Spanish. After several years working in marketing and communications roles at Milwaukee-area nonprofits, she returned to Indiana to pursue a master’s degree at the IU School of Journalism.
Molly first came to IU Communications in 2006, starting out as an editorial assistant while working toward her master’s degree. After graduating, she continued her career in marketing and communications at nonprofit and higher education organizations in Wisconsin and Arizona, including Arizona State University, and moonlighted as a freelance writer.
But ultimately the lure of Bloomington proved irresistible, and in 2014 Molly returned to Indiana yet again, this time as a content specialist for IU Communications. An award-winning writer and editor, Molly thrives on creating compelling content that helps clients tell their stories.
In her free time, Molly enjoys cheering for Wisconsin sports teams (especially the Green Bay Packers), trying her hand at photography, taking road trips, and catering to the whims of her cats, Jack and Jeepers. In addition, she is an accomplished musician, having studied cello and voice for many years.
