Greg joined the IU Communications team in 2000. Prior to that, while pursuing his undergraduate degree, he worked for IU’s University Information Technology Services and interned at Thomson Consumer Electronics. He worked in a variety of technology positions including systems administration, web development, and web application development.
Greg worked on dozens of web redesign projects, including the very first IU Bloomington, IU East, IU Kokomo, IU Northwest and IU South Bend campus gateway redesigns. He has been part of the selection committee for IU’s enterprise web content management system, and has since helped introduce a number of WCMS-powered websites, including IU’s Academic Bulletins project, which enables course descriptions to be published as both online and PDF versions on departmental websites, and which can also be exported to PeopleSoft to be included in the Student Planner. WCMS-based academic bulletins contain over 20,000 course descriptions and nearly 10,000 pages of content.
Currently, Greg manages IU Communication’s Informational and Emerging Technologies unit. He is overseeing the implementation of IU’s Digital Asset Management System, enterprise Digital Signage System, IU Libris tablet publications platform, and the new university-wide IU Newsroom system. He also oversees IU’s CRM service center, which assists all IU units with their e-distribution needs.
Greg has presented at industry conferences, including HighEdWebDev, Hannon Hill's Cascade Server User Conference and the Statewide IT conference. He graduated from IU with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Science in Information Systems.
