IU Communications

Jay has been a programmer and developer of educational software for more than 20 years. At IU Communications, he is a lead developer for the university-wide content management system and the new digital asset management system (DAMS), which enables users to store and share photos, video, sound files, and other documents. He is currently working on a way to connect these two systems, so that files stored in the DAMS can be automatically pulled into the content management system for use in websites, press releases, and newsletters.

Jay has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from IU and is currently enrolled in graduate-level computer science courses as a non-degree continuing student.

His hobbies include swimming, exercise, and programming. He has developed a wide variety of software titles on a variety of platforms. He always has a personal programming project in the works. At the office, he frequently squeezes in a quick swim or an exercise class in the middle of his workday.
